Running water abstract

Running water abstract (Photo credit: Steve A Johnson)

She rises, then the chant of prayer
She bustles, and the clatter of cups
The whistle of kettle
The scent of tea
The swish of water
Bring the kitchen to life
It is another day

She showers, then the ripples of steam
She fidgets, and the chatter of teeth
The gargle of mouth
The odour of soap
The swish of water
Bring the bathroom to life
It is another day

She stirs, then the fretting of cooks
She dines, and the tinkle of fork
The chewing of bread
The smell of soup
The swish of water
Bring the evening to life
It is another day.
